EBANX Beep announces partnership with Cabify to offer delivery option for small businesses in Brazil
April 13, 2020
The online sales system will offer Cabify delivery service to small businesses that want to deliver products during the quarantine period; service will be available in eight Brazilian cities in the coming weeks
CURITIBA, BRAZIL, April 13, 2020 – EBANX Beep, an online sales platform recently launched by the Brazilian fintech EBANX, has announced a partnership with the mobility company Cabify in Brazil to allow the delivery of products from small businesses in eight Brazilian cities including São Paulo, Rio de Janeiro, Belo Horizonte, Porto Alegre, Curitiba, Brasilia, Campinas and Santos.
The service will be available in the coming weeks, and helps to expand the reach of small business owners who use EBANX Beep to continue selling and obtaining cash flow during the social distancing period in Brazil, when many businesses are closed to the public.
With the partnership, Brazilian consumers who buy physical products on the EBANX Beep platform will be able to opt for the service, which will be carried out by Cabify's "Delivery" category. The option will be available on a pilot basis, only for stores that join the partnership.
“With Cabify as a logistical partner, we will expand the reach of these entrepreneurs even more – on the internet, with the EBANX Beep platform, and in the physical world, with Cabify's delivery service. Even those who do not have a delivery structure will be able to sell and deliver their products, maintaining cash flow during this delicate moment,” says André Boaventura, CMO and partner at EBANX.
“We are delighted to be able to help small retailers and Cabify drivers. The partnership with EBANX makes perfect sense in the moment we are experiencing. We have to unite more and more companies so that they can provide the greatest convenience and security for everyone,” says Luis Saicali, director of Cabify Brasil.
The partnership was announced along with the launch of Cabify's “Delivery” category in Brazil, which is available on the company's app and also allows users to send objects to friends and family. EBANX is the first partner of the mobility company in this service.
Cabify will be providing contactless delivery as an option as well. The company provides guidance to its drivers and users on the protection and hygiene measures recommended by the World Health Organization against COVID-19, and has a specific working group to monitor the outbreak of the epidemic in all countries in which it operates.
Launched by the company EBANX Pagamentos Ltda., in partnership with Visa, at the end of March, EBANX Beep also offers the sale of vouchers for products and services, especially designed to guarantee the cash flow of entrepreneurs and self-employed professionals during the period of social distancing in Brazil.
In addition to setting up the online store, sellers also are served by EBANX Pay payment processing, which is automatically available within the platform. Credit cards of all brands are accepted, in addition to boleto bancário, a very traditional cash-based payment method in the country.
