Restricted and Prohibited Products and Services

This list indicates some activities and services cannot be performed or sold using
EBANX's services because their marketing is not legal, or because it is regulated by
legal or regulatory requirements, or because EBANX does not allow the use of the
service for both.
This list has been made considering EBANX's current knowledge of laws, risk factors
and reputational impact and should not, under any circumstances, be violated or
violated. It shows which Merchant Products / Services cannot be processed by
EBANX, or which Merchant Products / Services need express pre-approval from
EBANX before processing.



Prohibited list:
EBANX will never work with the following Merchants products or services - General List of Prohibited items across LATAM:

  • Adoption agencies;

  • Adult content, pornography, and sex-related products or services (for example: live porn, sex chat);

  • Alcohol, tobacco, nicotine or related products;

  • Asbestos;

  • Attorney services and/or legal advice;

  • Biological material of human origin (eg hormones, human hair, etc.);

  • Black box (Android Boxes with pre-installed IPTV applications);

  • Body part augmentation products or services (eg, body augmentation, penis and
    breasts);

  • Cash, paper money or any other bearer securities;

  • “Capetinha” or Jammer (tracker signal blocker)

  • Cell phone unlocker, mobile device recharge, electronic card programming, video
    game console devices, for unlocking TV channels, among others. R4i adapter
    (Nintendo);

  • Controlled substances and/or other products that pose a safety risk of the
    consumer;

  • Corrosive and explosive materials, compressed gases and aerosols, liquids
    flammable, oxidizing materials, flammable solids;

  • Creating odds, fantasy games and/or any type of game that promise to earn profits or bonuses in any currency;

  • Debt collection;

  • Drugs or any type of illegal substances, including products that simulate the effects of any illegal drug; as well as any substances for the drug manufacturing and any equipment used to produce, combine, convert, process, prepare, conceal and consume illicit drugs;

  • E-wallets, prepaid credit cards File sharing and cloud storage services;

  • Forex, binary options, stock exchange, investment programs, future investments and related services or products, such as courses (assets, actions, etc.), books, ebooks and video classes;

  • Gambling, lotteries or related services (for example: poker, loot games, etc.);
    Gift cards;

  • Insurance services;

  • Invasive cosmetic treatments, devices or equipment (for example, botox, peeling,
    hyaluronic acid, etc.);

  • Issuance of licenses or government documents for regulated activities, including but not limited to driving, fishing and hunting;

  • Live animals;

  • Loan (including car consortium and mortgage);

  • Medical practices;

  • Medicines (sold exclusively by prescription or not) or any substances related to the miraculous cure of any disease or condition of healthcare, including any hospital equipment;

  • Military weapons and ammunition, drills and controlled equipment (bow and arrow, sport weapons, hunting equipment, replica weapons, etc.);

  • Multilevel marketing companies, pyramid schemes, Ponzi schemes or any program that promises profit with any deadline;

  • Online auction;

  • Pawnshop;

  • Plants, natural flowers, seeds, herbs, grasses and live plant species; straw and
    fodder; fresh foods;

  • Poisons: liquid, solid or gas;

  • Political parties (e.g. campaign finance, donations and signatures of politicians,
    political causes);

  • Precious metals, jewelry or any other product made from these materials - Purchase or trade;

  • Products and services with unauthorized use of the name, image, likeness or other aspects of celebrity identity.

  • Products prohibited by the Public Health Agency, local Health Authority or equivalent (ie Anvisa, Cofepris, ISPCH, etc.);

  • Products related to pedophilia, child pornography, nudity of minors, as well as
    articles of any form that involve the unlawful participation of minors;

  • Products that injure trademarks, patents, copyrights and other copyrights intellectual property (eg counterfeit goods);

  • Prostitution agency;

  • Radioactive material;

  • Religious institutions and non-profit organizations (Donations or institutions of
    charity);

  • Scheduling for public services;

  • State companies;

  • Stolen products, subtracted in any way, smuggled, counterfeit, tampered with or
    replicated;

  • Tooth whitening;

  • Withdrawing or exchanging virtual game currency or game credentials, usually from advanced accounts;

Specific Products and Services that are prohibited for different Latin American countries.



Only for Argentina

  • Ceramics and glass products;

  • Dry powder (coloring or not);

  • Fertilizers;

  • Live or dead animals - including rare animals, edible offal and edible or inedible fats;

  • Mineral products (eg salt; sulphur; earth and stone; gypsum; lime and cement);

  • Natural products or dietetic products;

  • Online sports betting Paints, varnishes and similar substances;

  • Products with pheromones;

  • Unlocking of cell phones, programming of electronic cards, evasion devices for game consoles, unblocking of TV channels, among others. R4i adapter (Nintendo);

  • Wood and wooden articles; charcoal;



Only for Bolivia

  • Animal products and by-products and/or derivatives of cattle, sheep, goats and poultry (eggs, meat, offal, poultry leftovers, feathers);

  • Foreign lottery tickets; imitation of coins and monetary material; postage stamps and other items of fiscal value;

  • Hunting trophies (animals), animal parts such as ivory and shark fin;

  • Used clothing items, such as clothing accessories, shoes, bedding, table, bathroom or kitchen linens, blankets, rugs, upholstery, rags, twine, cords and twine, textile waste or scrap;

  • Vehicles: parts and accessories; used or new;



Only for Chile

  • Cosmetics;

  • Timeshare programs, travel clubs and reservation centers;

  • Unlocking of cell phones, programming of electronic cards, evasion devices for game consoles, unblocking of TV channels, among others. R4i adapter (Nintendo);



Only for Colombia

  • Products with dry ice;

  • Unlocking of cell phones and accessories, programming of electronic cards, evasion devices for game consoles, unblocking of TV channels, among others. R4i adapter (Nintendo);

  • Used clothing and footwear;



Only for Ecuador

  • Epoxies and esters,

  • Reptile hides;

  • Rugs;

  • Used clothing and shoes;

  • Used tires and vehicles;

  • Worked ivory and ivory articles;



Only for Mexico

  • Art objects, collectibles and antiques;

  • Miraculous products (products that promise cure of any disease or improvement of health condition);

  • Protection services;

  • Timeshare programs;

  • Unlocking of cell phones, programming of electronic cards, evasion devices for game
    consoles, unblocking of TV channels, among others. R4i adapter (Nintendo);



Only for Peru

  • Cameras and complex security systems (closed circuit);

  • Camouflaged articles and uniform and any other which is for the exclusive use of the Armed Forces (Army, Police, Navy, Air Force and Special Groups);

  • Cosmetics;

  • Self-inflating products such as boats and lifejackets;

  • Timeshare programs;

  • Unlocking of cell phones, programming of electronic cards, evasion devices for game consoles, unblocking of TV channels, among others. R4i adapter (Nintendo);

  • Used car parts;

  • Used clothing and footwear;

  • War toys, including pellet guns, water and foam darts (NERF);



Only for Uruguay

  • Products taxed with IMESI (Internal Specific Tax);

  • Alcohol-free concentrated beverages, solid or liquid concentrated food products
    such as and not limited to nutritional supplements;

  • Lubricating oils and greases;

  • Perfumery articles;

  • Cosmetics;

  • Equipment subject to URSEC authorizations (Communication Services Regulatory
    Unit);

  • Cell phones and all those equipments who have WIFI and/or Bluetooth connections;

  • All devices that are radio frequency emitters, such as and not limited to wireless
    cameras, wireless remote controls (non-optical), devices with "Bluetooth", devices
    with "WiFi", equipment with remote control (including "drones"), wireless
    microphones, baby radio monitors (“Baby call”), wireless speakers, “WiFi” and/or
    “Bluetooth” clocks, satellite terminals, mobile telecommunications terminals
    (including “cell” phones), “WiFi” repeater, wireless router, cordless phones, wireless doorbells, radio communication transmitters;

  • Online betting


Restricted list*: EBANX may work with the following merchants with EBANX pre-approval, which can be denied or revoked where it finds this to pose a risk to
EBANX business or reputation:

  • Escort Service;

  • Esoteric services, cartomancy, fortune teller, palmistry, and related services;

  • Flight ticket;

  • Food and its raw materials;

  • Items with lithium battery (i.e. hoverboards, balance to weigh and similar);

  • Medical equipment;

  • Miles programs (i.e. flyer programs, loyalty program);

  • Natural Products or medicines, vitamins, Diet Products, Muscle Enhancers, etc.;

  • Parties and events;

  • Perfume;

  • Pesticides and plant nutrients;

  • Photographic or cinematographic products;

  • Products of animal origin;

  • Products or services related with social, political, or religious organizations;

  • Telecommunication services;

  • Tickets/entrance (i.e. shows, theatre and football matches);

  • Travel agency;

  • Works of art and antiques.

  • Mystery Box.
